Location: Indian Mountain's 600 acre campus is located 50 miles west of Hartford, CT, and 100 miles north of New York City. IMS maintains a family-centered atmosphere in a beautiful village setting that includes ponds, marshes, and woodlands on its privately owned mountain. This provides ample opportunities for exploration and outdoor education. The outdoor program features a low and high ropes course that is run by trained professionals. | |||||||||||||||||||
Background: Since 1922, the goal at Indian Mountain School has been to help students become confident in their own abilities and to develop the necessary academic and personal skills to be successful in a secondary school. IMS fosters a respect for learning, the environment, and each other. Students are guided through proper middle school scholastic, athletic, and arts curricula.
